THE HANGED CORPSE

A grotesque image
Of everlasting pain
Forever stuck in my mind
Like a terminal scar.

A corpse who's alive
Under miasmal skies
Everyday I see
what’s beneath that tree.

Trapped… into eternal void
Secluded… on a desolate hill

Burned by a black sun, unable to move
Chocking for centuries, forsaken by all

Lorn figure at the end of the rope
Swallowed by the shadows, afflicted by light

Eyes that bleed behind a black shroud
Covered by plagues, no sign of demise

I see it clearer, the symbol of life
We feast on his pain like leeches in his skin

Miserable existences
Gasping for air
Perennial martyrdom
Never to see

Buried in our subconscious
A sacrificial victim
Below his shadow a sadistic race
hides his horrid face

The hanged corpse in solitude
Dreadful vision engraved in my eyes

Down there the skies are bleeding
